Hi, I’m Ava Kianirad.
I work at the intersection of creative direction, brand strategy, and execution — helping brands and individuals move from scattered ideas to clear, intentional systems.
I believe strong brands aren’t built by trends or shortcuts.
They’re built through clarity, structure, and thoughtful decision-making — long before anything is designed, launched, or marketed.
My role is to bring that clarity.

I don’t start with visuals.

What is this brand really trying to become?
Who is it speaking to — and why?
What needs to stay consistent as it grows?
Creative direction, to me, is not about doing everything myself.
It’s about making sure everything works together — strategy, visuals, messaging, and execution — whether I’m building it hands-on or guiding other creatives and teams.
The goal is always the same:
direction before execution, clarity before scale.

Why I Do Things Differently
Early in my career, I worked with agencies and external teams — and while the work looked polished, something often felt disconnected.
Strategy lived in one place.
Design lived in another.
Execution followed trends rather than intention.
So I chose a different path.
I immersed myself in every part of the process — branding, design systems, photography, e-commerce, marketing, and creative production — not to do everything forever, but to understand how everything connects.
That depth allows me to see brands holistically and guide decisions with confidence, not guesswork.
Experience, Perspective, and Insight
Along the way, I’ve also worked behind the scenes on commercial and brand projects, gaining firsthand insight into how larger campaigns are directed, produced, and executed.
Seeing how real teams operate — where decisions succeed and where they break down — strengthened my understanding of alignment, communication, and long-term brand consistency.
It reinforced one thing:
great execution only works when the direction is clear.
